These mellow, bonded Amazons (over 20 years!) still have lots of room in their hearts for you.  The male Bam Bam says 'hi', 'what', and 'good' (for treats).  The female Maui will fly to your shoulder but easily step off when you bend over slightly. Neither has shown any bad temper with us or our dogs.  We understand that Bam Bam doesn't like to see other green birds (jealousy).  Both are trained to step up and Maui seems to understand the word 'no'.  Maui needs occasional beak trims for a slight scissor beak.  Breeding stimulators should be avoided.  Maui and Bam Bam are genuinely enjoyable Amazons.  They are housed in separate cages.
